Andre Fleury Swiss Watch Co.
Cartier proposed a $100 coupon for the consumers redeemable at any Cartier Boutique against a purchased of merchandise. Every consumer redeeming his/hers coupon and spending over $100 gives Cartier a profit.
These coupons were supposed to be a Cartier refund to their clients for watch repairs over-charged.
The actual Cartier's cost for each coupon is $31.25, and the retail value is: $100.
"The preliminary results on redemption response rate of both the consumer and watchmaker subclass are relatively meager."
"At the hearing, Settlement Class Counsels provided updated information-i.e., that, as of April 1, 2009 the total number of credits redeemed was 2,221."
Today nothing has changed in Cartier's business; it is fleecing the consumer as usual.
A client in need of a back gasket only was presented with an estimate of: $615 for unnecessary and unwanted repairs.
The similar back gasket for Rolex retail at $12
